Mission Statement
K&L Acoustic and Drywall is an industry leader in providing high-quality construction services to our customers. We help create long-lasting buildings in our community, but more importantly we develop long-lasting relationships with our partners and customers. We do things right the first time. We accept the reality that perfect buildings do not exist, but we strive to achieve it anyway. We admit our mistakes quickly and seek to remedy any defect. Our pledge is to stand by and uphold these relationships, to exceed expectations and develop lasting trust. This mission is accomplished through the commitment, competency, and collective performance of each team member.
Kelly Brown, President
Kelly Brown serves as President and owner of K&L Acoustic, alongside his wife Lindsey. Natives of Utah, Kelly and Lindsey are committed to the community and success of the family of employees who make up K&L.
Kelly has drawn on over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He carries licensing and insurance to support his history of design work, installation, estimating, human resources, and project management. Kelly is unique in his overall dedication to building a team through individual relationships. K&L is unified in purpose, proven through the long-term employees and managers who have supported Kelly from the beginning.
Kelly dedicated 8 years of his career, working at Daw Inc. and another 15 years of front-line and management responsibilities at Ceiling Systems Inc. (CSI) before founding the K&L business in 2015.
Kelly attributes his success to the many mentors, colleagues, and leaders he worked with in his early career and the loyal employees he works with today. He has developed the ability to listen openly and to implement the ideas and best practices of his team.
As the President of K&L, Kelly strives to pass along his experience, to create a legacy, to build careers, support families and to help others to not only succeed, but to grow individually from the foundation up.
Nick McMillan- Project Manager/Estimator Acoustic Ceilings:
Nick is a skilled craftsman and Manager with over 26 years of construction experience. Nick has experience with large commercial construction companies including Daw and Ceiling Systems. He has a history of completing projects within timelines and under budget, with a focus on quality in every phase. Nick has successfully operated as a lead foreman providing direction and daily leadership on some of the toughest projects in the Intermountain area. In 2015 he took a leap of faith by joining K&L and committing to help it grow and succeed. Nick is crucial piece of our mentorship and training at K&L. He understands and recognizes the value of connecting with our employees on a personal level and helping them to succeed and advance their individual careers. Nick is currently leading the K&L Acoustic Ceiling division and is exceeding all expectations. We consider ourselves lucky to have a leader and team member like Nick.
Camon Schneider- Project Manager /Estimator Metal Framing/Drywall:
Camon Schneider has always been a go-to employee and at a young age he has recorded over 22 years of experience in the construction field. Camon began his career at Ceiling Systems where he demonstrated loyalty and perseverance. At CSI Camon quickly gained skills and business acumen. He was promoted from within to a leading foreman and eventually an assistant Project Manager. Camon has attended advanced education focused on Construction Management. Camon quickly advanced in the industry to complex commercial Metal framing and Drywall installation. He has since led and completed numerous drywall projects for K&L. Since the start of K&L Camon has been dedicated to the growth of K&L and its employees. He understands the value of both client and employee relationships and focuses daily on developing and creating loyalty in the business.
Jen Frame- Office Manager:
Jennifer Frame joined K&L in spring of 2018. She has been crucial in overall communications, assisting with company Payroll, Billing, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Human Resources. She brings sound office skills and a high level of energy and commitment to the office. Jen is a key player in keeping all of K&L on task.
Jason Brown-Operations Safety Director:
Jason has developed his expertise in the construction segment, bringing depth and experience from other sectors. His focus and passion for safety stems from his passion for life and previous leadership roles. Jason has operated a successful small business start-up as a sole-proprietor and owner. Public Relations and Marketing roles assumed by Jason were critical in the success and ultimate sale of the business. In addition, Jason’s role of husband and father is emulated in his focus on the number one mission of K&L, employee safety.
As a business owner Jason led operations in the automobile industry. His leadership provided a daily focus on safety and risk prevention. Jason carries a passion for safety that was first taught to him by his father, Greg. Vehicle and equipment maintenance were a large part of the business and their stellar history of accident-free work. Jason implemented safety policies and procedures putting emphasis on pre / post trip inspections, over-the-road driver emphasis and proactive operational methods to ensure a safe and productive culture.
For nearly a decade, Jason served as a police officer on patrol and also as a detective in one of the largest metropolitan cities in the state. As a civil servant Jason learned the importance of quick decision making and problem solving in stressful situations. He provided safety to citizens through de-escalation of issues, transparent communication, honest caring and professionalism. Jason led the entire police force (patrol division) during his final year of patrol, logging the highest number of recorded / responded calls for the calendar year. In addition, as a High School dedicated officer he served in a 6A High School, acting as a liaison for both the school and the police department. Making good decisions and mitigating risk was at the forefront of every day as a Police Officer and Detective.
Jason carries the OSHA 30, OSHA 510 and is working on his completion of the OSHA 500 training. Jason works directly with the Workers’ Compensation Foundation.
To quote Jason, “Safety is no small matter and it is imperative that our people at K&L Acoustic and Drywall, Inc. return safely to their families each night.”
